Consulting
In the period I served in the Instituto de Economía Pública (from 1984 to about 1995) and later I have done consulting or goal-oriented research for the several Departments of the Basque Government, the Basque Statistical Office (EUSTAT), Generalitat Valenciana and private entities.I also devote a limited amount of time to provide methodological support in statistically-related matters to colleagues from the UPV/EHU.
We have in the Department a so-called Statistical Lab . We invite people with statistical problems to give an open presentation. Members of the audience can then gauge whether they can be of assistance or else redirect the enquiry somewhere else.
On-demand courses
A common request from public bodies and private companies alike has been to provide custom-made tuition to train or re-train their staff.We are open to such requests, and in the past I have led different teams giving courses for companies like HTI-Task, S.L. (later to become Escuela de Finanzas del BBVA, S.A.), SIDENOR, S.A. or the Basque Institute for Public Administration (IVAP).
